Role
Responsible for conceptualisation, curatorial framework, programme planning, and co-facilitation. Scripted and co-produced the documentary in collaboration with OBL Studios.
What happens when an artist who works with paint and canvas begins to think in sound? Or when a musician is asked to make something visible? Transformation was a two-day interdisciplinary art workshop built around exactly that kind of productive disorientation — 21 emerging Ghanaian artists brought together to cross art forms, test new methods, and discover what happens at the boundaries of their own practice.
Working across visual art, storytelling, and sound, participants first developed individual creative responses to the theme of transformation, before moving into collaborative co-creation — combining their work across disciplines into shared pieces. The second day introduced a further layer: the translation of analogue artworks into digital form using animation tools, opening new possibilities for how artists distribute, present, and reimagine their work beyond the physical object. The workshop was designed as an artistic test lab — a space for genuine experimentation rather than polished outcome — facilitated by artists Phuc Van Dang and Ernest Ofori Sackitey.
The workshop process was simultaneously a subject of artistic inquiry in itself. A documentary capturing the creative process, the conversations, and the transformations taking place was produced by OBL Studios — scripted, curated, and co-produced as an integral part of the project rather than a record of it.
